But you dislike federalism? It's a two way street. When your favored party falls into the minority, what's to stop the winners from imposing their will upon your state, and upon you?

Do you think we should all be ruled by the whims of congressmen from distant, politically hostile states? The left is always hollering about the imminent takeover of the country by right wing fascists. What if that comes true? Are you just going to obediently start following their directives?

Or is that you believe your party is a permanent majority, and now the rules preventing their absolute power need to be cleared away so you can impose your ideas on people who fear and loathe them?

Look at how angry everyone is getting. Can you not see that these tyrannical attitudes do not eventually result in a second civil war? Or are you confident you'll win it, and care not for the bodies that fall by the wayside?
