Hmm. So ocean ice against the coast of Antarctica could melt if the deeper water is warm enough because it will well up. But, I do remember reading that ocean temperatures were right around 0 or -1 most of the time.

Of course, Antarctica is a big place and there's going to be different water temperatures around the continent.

But I can't imagine the land ice is going anywhere, except as calving from glaciers and the weight of all that ice shoving it out to sea.
