I'm sorry, but it is just too much coincidence for me. The NIH spent money on gain of function research to be done at that lab and those documents are public record. The Obama admin told them not to do it, but they did an end run around the rules and did it in China instead of America.

You can blather about the science all you like, but they were working on gain of function with American money at the Chinese lab, and a nasty virus emerged...from the Chinese lab.

So we have the natural origination theory, which is a possibility, or a pile of coincidences that point to a lab leak.

Workers at the lab were among the very first to fall in and report to the hospital. The lab was working on gain of function for corona viruses. Sars started at the very same fish market they say Covid came from, just a couple of kilometres from the lab.

To me, it is very obvious what happened. But regardless of origin, it does not change what we must now do:

1) The scientists and bureaucrats who green-lighted gain of function research in an end-run around the rules must be very loudly and very publicly punished. It must be clear this is a line of research that cannot be pursued, even if your bosses at the DoD say it is OK.

2) There is no valid reason for doing gain of function research that can harm human life. All such research must stop. Samples and stocks of bio weapons and enhanced viruses must be destroyed.

3) America must halt its bioweapons program. China must be dissuaded from continuing to run them in the most serious terms. A treaty, and a threat: If China releases another virus that kills millions, even if it is an accident, it is an act of war. The lab gets a nuke, consequences be damned.

This lab leak is quite simply the biggest fuckup in human history. It is worse than WW2. It has killed millions, and it may yet kill millions more. It has ruined lives, ruined businesses and consigned everyone to a wretched half-life of social distancing, masks, and paranoia that is going to continue quite possibly for years to come.

THERE ARE TOO MANY DEAD BODIES TO IGNORE. The powers that be must not be permitted to sweep this one under the rug. Blame must be assigned, punishments meted out and measures taken to prevent another repeat. Otherwise, the next fuckup could wipe out half of humanity.
