Now THAT was one mean, low-down article. I know people have become quite uncivil these days, but wow. In the interests of being heard, I'm not going to tell you where I stand on Rogan or vaccines, I just want to comment on the vitriol.

A lot of people log on these days spoiling for a fight. They aim for the place most likely to produce a brawl, jump in and start swinging. They don't need to be right, they just need to land a blow that will sting.

Everyone is well beyond convincing or listening on a long list of divisive issues and Covid is one of them. I started up a Covid discussion with my Dad the other day and we got into it heavy and fast and I just couldn't seem to put the brakes on it. It took a serious and deliberate act of will to change the subject and keep it changed.

If you suddenly feel the urge to jump into the public square and start screeching that everyone who disagrees with you deserves to die in a fleabag motel fire, maybe you should take a deep breath and find something nicer to do with your time.

Or not. I guess for some people, rage is all they live for, and I suppose it can be pretty satisfying. The question you should ask yourself is if you have become one of those people, and if so, do you really want to stay like that?
