Obviously it was a coup, but the real question is their true motives for staging it. They may have a specific reason for doing it at this time that could be interesting. Or it could just be payback for all the defiance coming from Morales for all these years. They finally managed to organize the coup and execute, but it took a long time to get their ducks in a row and make it happen.

The other thing we should consider is what the consequences of the coup may be. Does it all stop here, job done? Or is this the beginning of something bigger?
