Oh, now come on! You can do better than that! I just tore myself away from from all the news and celebration over Musk’s purchase of Twitter and the dismissal of the censors to read your response and you just had that one tepid line. I should have written more. So here’s a little red meat for you, then you can tell me all about disinformation and Russian propaganda:

1. The Maidan revolution was really a CIA engineered coup disguised as a revolution. Nuland had a tapped phone conversation from before the coup in which she casually discussed who to replace the soon to be outgoing Ukrainian leader. To be sure he was Putin’s man, but it was indeed a coup, and an alarming one from the Russian point of view.
2. After the coup Washington and NATO trained and equipped a sizable army on Russia’s border as a a bulwark against Russia and as an in-your-face provocation that must have driven Russian nuts. To rub salt in the wound, that army was put to work shooting up the breakaway Donbas region, resulting in an estimated 16,000+ deaths during a nearly 8 year period.
3. After a long delay while they prepared, Russia finally brought its army to the border and made their honestly reasonable demands. Ukraine figured they had NATO and America at their back and gave Russia the finger. So Russia invaded.
4. And here we are! America’s provocations and false assurances to Ukraine led them down the garden path and left them to twist in the wind while Russia destroys their country. Ukraine has lost an army of 8,000+ men in Mariupol and is in grave danger of getting their army in the East surrounded and destroyed. What then, when this army falls?
5. All of this has been for nothing. If America had just left Ukraine alone and not engineered the coup history would have been a lot more peaceful. And if America had not encouraged Ukraine to resist a much mightier neighbor they would have come to terms and avoided the war they’re in right now — a war that will end in the Russians getting what they want anyway.
