These are weather events, not climate events, in my humble opinion. I have read that the number of fires and catastrophic weather events was actually higher in the earlier part of the 20th century, so what you're seeing now is pretty normal.
But what do I know? In truth, very little. The world and the climate system is very large and complex, and its hard to be certain in your predictions, or even the general thrust of events. And you sound very, very certain.
Have you ever considered that you might be wrong? It happens to us non-wizard types all the time. You seem to be saying that all climate change is bad (I doubt it), it's all man-made (I doubt that, too) and that we can do something about it (I seriously doubt that!)
If you are wrong and it turns out this whole climate change thing is a political and media driven crock, imagine the poverty and economic destruction your policy prescriptions would wreak if they were actually implemented! Maybe your politicians are smarter than they seem.
And if you are right, then a little warm-up isn't the worst thing that could happen to Canada!
