They're conservatives hijacking the term libertarian.

Contraception and early abortion are pretty easy as a libertarian to accept. It's just a clump of cells and any woman should have the right to terminate at that point.

But like most people, the longer the pregnancy continues the more uncomfortable I get. It's a difficult subject and everyone is going to draw the line in a different place. No libertarian says you have the right to murder someone else, and having an abortion a month before you are due looks like murder to me (except for extreme medical emergency).

The middle road on this matter is for the best, but it will never satisfy people on the extremes of both the left and the right.
