What about the shots fired in anger at the Russian speakers in the Donbas? Should Russia have stayed in their country and let their people die?
If native English speakers were being attacked by a foreign power and you had to watch that helplessly on TV every day, it would drive you nuts. It's natural to want to try and help them.
And if a foreign power threatened America's security by say, installing missiles on a small, hostile island nation minutes away from Washington, what would you do about that? Nothing? Just accept it, and say "Oh, well, they have a right to self-defense." ?
We already know what happend, and the world came very close to nuclear war over it.
As for "keep the troops at home where they belong," well, is that what America does? Have you noticed the long list of nations America has invaded all over the world?
What do you think it means when America arms and trains an army in a hostile state on Russia's border? How can you imagine, even for a moment, that the purpose is peaceful? When that very same army was used to attack Russian speakers for eight long years?
The mind boggles. It's not me who has been fooled by propaganda. It's you. But it is a lot easier to fool someone than to convince they have been fooled.
